FTP Accounts
What's FTP? What?s an FTP account? When will you need one?
File Transfer Protocol, or FTP, represents one of the most popular means of exchanging web files between a computer and a web server. With an FTP client program like FileZilla, you can connect to your web hosting account and drag & drop files or whole directories in both directions and the software will do all the rest. There’re several advantages of using File Transfer Protocol, among them the ability to resume an upload/download if there is some problem with the FTP connection or the ability to have different FTP accounts. With the latter option, you can create FTP users that can access only specific folders in your hosting account, but no other folders, emails or other info, which makes it the ideal solution in case you have to give a web designer access, for example. You can also use an FTP account with famous website building tools like FrontPage or Dreamweaver and upload the sites that you’ve created directly from them, without any third-party software.
FTP Accounts in Cloud Hosting
Our cloud hosting plans will allow you to create numerous FTP accounts with only several clicks via the Hepsia Control Panel and to specify what web files and folders each account can connect to. There isn’t any upper limit on the maximum number of accounts that you are allowed to create, so you will be able to have as many as you like at any particular moment. In case you wouldn’t like to use a particular FTP account anymore or if a designer has completed their task and you do not want them to connect to the web content anymore, you can simply delete that account. The Control Panel’s FTP section will permit you to view all currently existing FTP accounts displayed in alphabetical order, along with different options, which you can access with one single mouse click. You will be able to change the password and the access path, to download an auto-config file, etc. We also have an extensive Help database, which can help you administer your FTP accounts in case you experience any difficulty.
