URL redirection allows you to redirect targeted traffic from one site to another. In contrast to redirecting a domain by parking it when the domain is unusable, a URL forwarding is possible only when the domain is hosted, and therefore you'll still have the ability to create fully functional subdomains and e-mail addresses or even to have content for the domain in question, even though it shall not accessible directly. If you already have a website, for example, but you'd like to launch one or several localized sites for different towns or countries, you shall be able to work on them with no difficulty. When a website visitor opens any one of the new domain names, however, they shall be sent to the existing site. This way, you'll not miss potential clients while developing the localized sites.

URL Redirector in Cloud Hosting

The Hepsia Control Panel, which comes with our Linux cloud packages, provides a URL redirection tool that will permit you to forward any domain address or subdomain hosted in your account to any URL - inside your account or a third-party one. Setting up a new redirection is rather easy - you must select a domain/subdomain and then enter the URL it has to be forwarded to. You can also redirect a specific subfolder only. As an illustration, if you have your-domain.com and your-domain.com/es, you can redirect only the latter. The tool has complex features for more tech-savvy users as well, such as the possibility to select the redirection type - 301 (permanent redirection) or 302 (temporary redirection), the redirection method - direct or match, etc. If you no longer require a redirection, you may deactivate it with a click from the same section of the Control Panel.
